Extensive evidence supports a role for strontium in skeletal health.
Strontium is a trace mineral whose metabolism is closely linked to that of calcium. (It resembles calcium at the molecular level.) Strontium concentrates in the skeletal system, where it plays a key role in supporting bone tissue density.
Research has long suggested that it may be an essential nutrient required for the normal development, structure, function, and health of the skeletal system. Clinical trials going back into the 1940s have supported this conclusion, but recent studies have provided evidence that it can offer unique nutritional support against loss of bone structure and function
The metabolism of Strontium is closely tied to that of calcium, and which concentrates in the skeletal system, where it supports the function of osteoblasts (the cells which form new bone) while reducing the differentiation and activity of osteoclasts (the cells which resorb old bone).
Taken together with Dr. Sandra Cabot’s Bone Build Formula, the Strontium Bone Power provide a complete daily nutrient regimen for individuals in need of especially comprehensive bone health support.
- Per Two Capsule - Contains Strontium (as Strontium Citrate) 350mg*
- Other Ingredients -Vegetable Cellulose (preservative-free, from capsule shell), magnesium trisilicate, magnesium stearate, and silica
- * Daily Value Not Established
- NO Soy, salt, yeast, gluten, milk & egg products, sugar, starch, or preservatives
Take one capsule twice daily as a dietary supplement. Should be taken 2 hours before or after calcium products, as it will interfere with the absorption of calcium.
Caution – In some users strontium can cause side effects which are typically nausea, lack of appetite and some aches and pains. This is more common in people who are very thin or small with low body weight. We recommend you start with a dose of only one capsule daily and in many people, this dose of one capsule daily will be enough to support healthy bone density and strength
Warning: If Pregnant, considering pregnancy, or lactating, consult a healthcare practitioner prior to use. Not to be used by children or adolescents, as it can alter growing bones.
